Autofield Safeguard Autofield Safeguard (DEF) is a premium aqueous diesel exhaust fluid which is carefully blended through aqueous urea solution of 33.5% high purity & 67.5% of deionized water. After the full combustion diesel engine generates nitrogen oxides (NOx) and the excess of air which are harmful pollutants. Selective catalytic reduction (SCR) is the leading technology being used to meet the 2010 emission regulations & is used to reduce the amount of NOx released in the atmosphere.

Autofield Safeguard (DEF) is injected into the exhaust pipeline where the aqueous urea vaporizes & decomposes of form ammonia & carbon dioxide. With the selective catalytic reduction (SCR) catalyst, the NOx are reduced by the ammonia, Water & Nitrogen which are harmless and these are released through the exhaust. Reduction ratio of NOx up to 90% of using SCR technology. The reduction ratio of NOx by urea is:
